About the Show
At the intersection of business, fashion and technology, “Fashion Is Your Business” is a podcast with impact. Lighthearted and boisterous, the informative and fun weekly show features discussions inspired by recent news, useful in-depth interviews with industry notables and influencers, provides a platform for business leaders to announce startups and milestones, and offers commentary about virtually anything in between — making insights into business and technology within the fashion industry entertaining, meaningful and accessible. Industry expertise, inside knowledge and business strategy is balanced with a comfortable and humorous everyman quality with unexpected revelations, bringing the listener in on the conversation.
Fashion Is Your Business originated as a spinoff from American Fashion Podcast, another top fashion podcast, which focuses less on technology and more on the traditional creatives of the fashion industry. AFP is hosted by Charles Beckwith, Seth Friedermann, and Lisa-Maria Radano, along with Catherine Schepis. The show’s official tagline is “local, sustainable, irritable,” in reference to the hosts’ frequent advocacy of responsible business practices within the garment industry, often delivered with acerbic wit. It is also known as “fashion’s favorite show.” Subscribers include a wide range of industry insiders. A broad spectrum of designers, publicists, fashion students, pattern makers, stylists, executives, and journalists are known to tune in.
